Does the system calculate the final build cost?
It projects three finish-line scenarios using acquisition cash, actual net spending, and the future items you enter. Needs-Only shows the required path to completion. Current Planned Build adds the Wants and Upgrades you have committed to. Full Wish List includes every non-excluded future item.
Can it track returned, refunded, or sold parts?
Yes. Returns, refunds, parts sales, credits, included-part value, and current retained value are deliberately separated. This keeps gross purchases visible and prevents recovered cash from erasing the history of what happened.
How does it avoid counting a planned part twice after I buy it?
Each future item can have a Finish-Line ID. When you purchase it, enter that same ID in the Parts Ledger. The workbook links the actual purchase and any recovery back to the future plan so remaining cost falls automatically.
Is it only for Chevrolet C10 trucks?
No. It is designed for classic trucks generally. The completed example uses a fictionalized 1970 Chevrolet C10 restomod to demonstrate the system, but the categories and workflow can be personalized for other makes, models, and build styles.
What program do I need?
Microsoft Excel is the supported editing environment. Other spreadsheet programs may alter features or formatting.
Does the workbook upload or store my photos?
No. Full-size photos stay in Google Drive or another storage service you choose. The package provides a recommended folder structure and a Photo & Document Index for important links, receipts, measurements, instructions, and records.
What is included in the download?
The package includes a clean Excel workbook, a completed example, Quick Start PDF, Google Drive photo and document organization guide, a shop-readiness checklist with 66 helpful tools and supplies, a personal-use license, and future update information.
Can a restoration shop use it for customer projects?
Not under the included license. The package includes a personal-use license. A separate commercial license will be offered for restoration shops and other commercial use.
Are the sample prices current quotes?
No. All sample prices are planning examples. Replace them with the exact part, configuration, freight, tax, labor, and vendor figures for your build before making a purchase decision.
Does Finish Line Build Systems provide mechanical or fitment advice?
No. The product organizes information. It does not replace service manuals, manufacturer instructions, fitment confirmation, torque specifications, inspections, or qualified professional judgment. Verify safety-critical work independently.
What is the founding-customer price?
The first 25 customers can purchase the Personal Edition for $39. The standard price increases to $49 after the founding offer.
Do founding customers receive future updates?
Founding customers receive Version 2 when it is released. Minor corrections and maintenance updates may also be provided, but the purchase does not promise every future major edition for life.
How do checkout and delivery work?
Payhip handles secure checkout and automatic digital delivery. After purchase, the download is available immediately and Payhip also emails the customer a receipt with access to the files.
